Preserving and Promoting The Native American Culture.
The White Buffalo Academy will have a unique blend of Native American culture, tradition, and education. The program was developed for the purpose of aiding students who have difficulty comprehending schoolwork in a traditional classroom setting. Historically in certain cultures, such as Native Americans, tribal youth were taught in a "hands on, see and do" method . Tribal elders used nature as an important means for educating their children. Look for our opening in 2011.
At The White Buffalo Academy we are currently assembling a group of individuals and a curriculum that understand and address this method of experiential learning. We are incorporating native tradition, culture, language, arts, and history into the basic core curriculum creating an exciting and culturally immersed program unlike any other.
